Dr Grindle is a 1985 graduate of the University of Minnesota Veterinary School. He has practiced at Lyndale Animal Hospital since he graduated from vet school, with the exception of a ten year period spanning the nineties, when he worked at a veterinary clinic in the western suburbs of Minnesota. In 2000, Dr. Grindle returned to Lyndale Animal Hospital and purchased the clinic in 2007 from Dr. Leon Schnack, who retired after owning the practice since 1972.
During his time off, Dr. Grindle enjoys hunting, fishing, wrestling and spending time with his family including his dog Stug and his cat, Vickers.
Dr. Koppy Graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2009. She moved back to her home state of Minnesota after graduation and joined Lyndale Animal Hospital in December of 2009.
Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. She enjoys the variety of general practice and the opportunity to build relationships with her clients and their pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Koppy enjoys being outside, spending time with family and traveling. She has two exceptional cats of her own, Shane and Simone, and two fun-loving dogs named Bogey and Quinn who often accompany her whenever possible.
Dr. Benson graduated from Iowa State University in 2010. After graduation she moved to California to do a small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA in west Los Angeles. Upon completion of her internship, she returned to Minnesota, her home state, and joined the staff at Lyndale Animal Hospital in August of 2011.
Her veterinary interests include dermatology, ophthalmology and behavior. In her free time Dr. Benson enjoys camping, hiking, cooking and hanging out her husband, Liam, her cool cat, Marley, and her Newfoundland/Great Pyrenees, Zoe.
Becky started working on the kennel staff at Lyndale Animal Hospital in September 2007 when she moved to Minneapolis to start veterinary technician school. She graduated with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University and was certified as a veterinary technician in 2009, at which time she transitioned to becoming a technician at Lyndale Animal Hospital. She has one mouse-of-a-cat named Fievel.
Jeni graduated with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from Rochester Community and Technical College in May 2014 and became a certified veterinary technician in August 2014. She started working at Lyndale Animal Hospital in August of 2014. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dog Roy, cats Etta and Moo Moo, and tortoise Paco.
Chris joined the Lyndale Animal Hospital team in January of 2014 after several years working in wildlife medicine and at other small animal veterinary practices. A 2010 graduate of Argosy University, Chris and his wife Leslie are the proud parents of three: one dog (Buddy the Beagle), one cat (Gypsy) and one human (Liam). When not tending to his work duties, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies and catching up on sleep.
Stacy graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 2010 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. She has a strong love for dental prophylaxis and geriatric pets. In her free time, you can find her on her 7 acre property in Big Lake with her two dogs, Ratchet and Wallace, her two cats, Darla and Patrick, and her husband.
Kelsey graduated from the U of M in 2007 with a degree in Studio Art. She worked as a cat sitter in New York City for a few years, before deciding to start her own cat sitting business back home in Minnesota. Being a life-long animal lover, she jumped at the chance to join the team at Lyndale Animal Hospital and has been with us since December 2011. Kelsey lives in Minneapolis with her cat, Harriet.
Hannah graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Communications in 2011. She started working at Lyndale Animal Hospital in October of 2014. She has been an animal lover her entire life, growing up with multiple cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, and a bird. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Argosy University, and hopes to continue her work at LAH as a technician in the future. Hannah lives in St Paul with her husband, their cats, Rickety Cricket and Pigeon, and their dog, Ingrid.
